    Effects of nozzle type and spray angle of orchard sprayer on spray deposition

    • In order to study the effects of nozzle types(HH-SS1 standard solid cone nozzle, HU-SS60-02 standard flat fan nozzle, HU-SS60-03 standard flat fan nozzle)and spray angles(0° , ±15° , ±30° , ±45° )of vertical spray boom on spray deposition in orchard, spray deposition and penetration were measured to optimize the spray angle. The results showed that HH-SS1 -15° , HU-SS60-02 -30° and HU-SS60-03 -30° nozzle configurations performed best at the upper side of leaves. The highest effects on deposition at the bottom side of leaves were found in HH-SS1 30° , HU-SS60-02 30° and HU-SS60-03 45° nozzle configurations. There were the same tendencies of the effects of nozzle type on the distribution of spay deposition at the upper and bottom sides of leaves. The larger droplet size was, the bigger spray angle for higher spray deposition was.
