Influences of different parameters of return air duct on uniformity distribution of temperature and humidity within refrigeration compartment

Abstract
We changed the length, width and height parameters of return air duct, established refrigeration compartment test platform, got on parameter combinations orthogonal experiments under the same conditions of blower frequency, opening bulkhead opening rate and crate stacking method, respectively conducted cooling and humidification tests taking unevenness in longitudinal section and cross section as assessment indicators, variance analysis, visual analysis and range analysis were used to study the influences of different parameters of return air duct on uniformity distribution of temperature and humidity within the refrigeration compartment. The results showed that, when the return air duct parameter(length × width × height)was 1 500 mm × 500 mm × 60 mm, the temperature had the most uniformity; when return air duct parameter was 1 500 mm × 800 mm × 80 mm, the humidity had the most uniformity. Using weight comprehensive value analysis integrated temperature and humidity field on a combination of orthogonal experiment to evaluate the results of the return air duct, the optimal combination of parameters was 1 500 mm × 500 mm × 60 mm.
