Abstract
Recently, the soil heavy metal pollution is increasingly serious, the normal growth and physiological ecology characteristics of plants are affected, and then threats the safety of agricultural products. Organic acids can repair the pollution soil, make the ion metal state transformed into the low-toxic or non-toxic state through chelating metal elements, for increasing the resistance of plants to heavy metal stress. So organic acids are often thought to play an important role in plant resistance to heavy metals. This paper introduced the change of content and element of organic acids, including oxalic acid, malic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, succinic acid, lactic acid and acetic acid and so on, and clarified the mechanism how to increase the resistance to heavy metal stress in plants and roots secretion grown in soil with cadmium, lead, aluminum, zinc and copper pollutions, at last, put forward the research direction of organic acid detoxification in plants under heavy metal stress.
