Analysis and evaluation of agronomic traits of peanut germplasm resources in Hainan

    • This paper planted local representatives of 17 germplasm resources in Hainan, their yield and agronomic characters were analyzed and evaluated. The results showed that there were large differences in seedling emergence rate among germplasm resources and all the growth period was short. It was broadly comparable to botanical characteristics consistent, full fruit number and blighted fruit number. But the yield of different varieties was significant. The most of full fruit number was 16.5 individuals/plant, and blighted pods were more generally, up to a maximum of 13.5 individuals/plant. The highest yield was 3520.95 kg/hm 2 , kernel rate was generally higher, and wnxl1 was up to 81.88%. The correlation analysis showed that the correlation of yield and number of full fruit was significantly positive. In the initial resources, the yield of wcql1, wcmh, wnhl and wnxl1 performanced well, their agronomic traits and quality traits could be further analyze in order to provide basis for the selection of fine peanut varieties and adaption in Hainan and tropical areas.
