Bibliometric analysis on progress in research of ‘Gonggan’ （Citrus reticulata Blanco）based on CNKI

‘Gonggan’ is a famous local fruit of Xijiang Basin in Guangdong Province. In order to comprehensively understand and accurately evaluate the results and progress in the research of‘ Gonggan’，this paper carried out an analytic investigation on the data of research papers about‘ Gonggan’ published in the period of 1950-2014 in China by using the principle and method of bibliometrics，including paper topic，publishing time distribution，research theme， main authors and research institutions，and fund supported papers，etc.，and based on these data，probeed into the sci -tech R&D and management in the development of‘ Gonggan’ industry.
