Reasearch on endophytic bacterial diversity in tobacco

The diversity of endophytic bacteria in tobacco tissues originating from three flue-cured tobacco varieties（K326，YUN 85 and Honghuadajinyuan）in Guizhou province was surveyed，to describe the distribution of isolated endophyte species in different varieties，and to assess their specificity and abundance. Endophytic bacteria were isolated from surface-sterilized tissues，and the strains were identified based on molecular characteristics of analysis of the 16S rDNA sequence. 27 strains belonged to eight different taxa，they were Bacillus subtilis（33%），Bacillus mycoides（4%），Bacillus sp.（11%），Enterobacter sp.（4%），Stenotrophomonas sp.（4%），Rhizobium tropici（4%），Pseudomonas sp.（4%），Terribacillus sp.（4%），dominated by Bacillus sp. Shannon Wiener diversity index of K326，YUN 85 and Honghuadajinyuan（HD）were 2.02，1.48 and 1.3 respectively.
