    Cloning and bioinformatics analysis of catalase gene in upland rice

    • In order to study the sequence characteristics and biological information of CAT gene in upland rice, the CAT gene of upland rice of Luhan No.3 was cloned by homology cloning methord(OsCATB-lh,GenBank accession number:KR133179). The cDNA length of OsCATB-lh was 1 739 bp,with an open reading frame of 1 479 bp encoding a polypeptide of 492 amino acids. OsCATB-lh was a single copy gene in rice genome onthe sixth chromosome . The protein encoded by OsCATB-lh dcontained a catalase family conserved domain. The high homology of cDNA(99%) with 6 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP)sites and protein(99%)with 3 amino acid mutation sites were found between OsCATB and OsCATB-lh.
