Progress and prospect of the application of water saving agriculture in seasonal drought in South China

Seasonal drought greatly restricts the agricultural production in South China. Based on summarizing the style and distribution of seasonal drought and the application of water saving technology in the main crop，the major objective of this study was to discuss the existed problems and feasible recommendations including the introduction of collecting rainwater for irrigation and regulated deficit irrigation technology，the deep research of water requirement for main crop in South China，the fund support and related policy set to ensure continuous study
