Abstract
To explore the genetic differences between genomic -SSR and EST -SSR in different species of Stylosanthes, the genetic diversity of 12 accessions from different Stylosanthes species was analyzed by two types of SSR markers. Results showed that, compared with genomic-SSR, EST-SSR markers were superior in versatility for different species of Stylosanthes. The average of number of alleles and the polymorphic information content (PIC) value detected by EST -SSR was 4.6 and 0.610, respectively. The average of number of alleles and PIC value detected by genomic-SSR was 5.6 and 0.702, respectively. Cluster analysis indicated that two SSR markers could effectively identify all Stylosanthes accessions
