Development situation and countermeasures of Guangdong hog industry in 2014

The paper introduced the current situation of hog industry in Guangdong province during 2013，and mainly analyzed the regional distribution，level of industrialization，price change，cost and benefit，carbon footprint calculation and so on，also focused on the reasons which caused the whole hog industry’s profit great loss of Guangdong province in 2014， and forecasted the trend of hog industry market of Guangdong in 2015. The results showed that over supply and demands decreasing were the two main reasons that led hog market overall decline. Based on the carbon footprint calculation of hog industry in 2013，the result showed that high carbon emission was still the primary problem of Guangdong’s hog industry in recent years. Therefore，the paper put forward some suggestions on hog industry of Guangdong.
