Microorganisms of rumen cellulase source and its mechanism

Cellulase is an efficient biocatalyst, plays an important role in the use of cellulose. The rumen cellulases are enzymes which are able to decompose the cellulose into glucose to offer ruminants for growing. In this paper, the cellulose was summarized, the bacteria, fungi and other microbes of rumen cellulase sources and secreted cellulases and various rumen microorganisms on degradation of cellulose were analyzed. Moreover, the degrading mechanism of cellulase and the classification of cellulases were described, to provide references for the further research on rumen cellulase.
