Development situation and countermeasuresof Guangdong rice industry in 2014

In 2013，Guangdong rice industry was affected by natural disasters and pest，so the overall rice situationdeclined. Under the situation that the sown acreage of rice declined slightly，both total production and yield occurredfell. Although rice costs had a slight increase，famers’ interests still had greatly improved. In 2014，price of indica valleydeclined and price of rice increased. Forecasting price of rice in 2015 will rise and then decrease，the overall price levelwill remain the same as that in 2014. The rice science and technology contribution remained a relatively stable situation，matter input contribution rose again，but the contribution shares of labor input and sown acreage were negative.
