Review on interaction between biocharand soil microorganism

Biochar is a solid carbonaceous residue made by burning biomass under oxygen deficient conditions.The studies about the effects of biochar on improving soil properties have already focused on the field of soil microbialecology. The effects of biochar amendment on microorganism in soil are highly influenced by properties of biochar andenvironmental conditions of soil. Interactions between biochar and soil microorganism are theoretically expounded.Mineralization of biochar by soil microorganism can occur directly. Besides，soil environmental variations after biocharaddition have indirect impact on soil microorganism.
