Review of retrievals of soil parameters from hyperspectral data

There is widespread interest in the use of spectroscopy as quick, large-scale and cost effective alternative to standard soil analysis procedures which has limitations in study of large -scale spatial characteristics of soil. The spectroscopic methods to analyze soil properties is considered a promising approach for addressing soil quality environmental monitoring and precision agriculture management etc. This paper reviewed the main development of the application of spectroscopy for measuring soil physicso chemistry parameters and then pointed out the shortages in the researches of soil properties using the spectroscopic methods, finally prospected the development tendency of the technology.
