    Apply of microsatellite markers in identifying the purity of hybrid rice seeds

    • The purity of hybrid rice seeds is identified mainly in field recently, and it spends a lot of time and is influenced by environment greatly. As a result, it affects the safety of seeds in agriculture because the unqualified seeds have been traded in market and sowed in field. Microsatellite markers have advantages of co-dominance, stability, high polymorphism, richness in quantity and so on, and play a more and more important role in identifying the purity of hybrid rice seeds quickly. It's very close of the purities of hybrid rice seeds, which are 93.0% and 93.5%, identified by microsatellite markers and field plot testing, respectively. It shows that it爷s feasible to use microsatellite markers to identify the purity of hybrid rice seeds.
