Abstract
The effects of osmotic stress of polyethylene glycol 6000 (PEG6000) with different concentrations on the leaf morphology, free proline content, soluble sugar content, POD activity and relative electric conductivity of Humata tyermanni were studied, using PEG6000 to manual simulated drought stress. The results showed that osmotic stress of 10%, 20% and 30% PEG6000 caused different degrees of damage to the plant morphology, the injury effect of 30% PEG6000 was most severe and the leaf withered seriously. Besides, the free proline content, soluble sugar content, POD activity, relative electric conductivity were postively correlated with stress concentration.
