Study on induction of callus and adventitions buds in Clematis L.

Callus and adventitions bud of Gipsy Queen were induced with columella and stem of Gipsy Queen as explants and with the MS added different concentrations of 6-BA (0, 1.0, 2.0 mg/L) and NAA (0, 0.01, 0.05 mg/L) as nutrient medium. The results showed that the callus could be easily induced in MS+NAA 0.01 mg/L+6-BA 2.0 mg/L, the induction rate was 50.0%, and the induced callus was loose and granular appeared yellowish. The best lateral bud induced medium was MS+NAA 0.01 mg/L+6-BA 1.0 mg/L, and the budding rate was 170%. The best multiplied medium was MS+ NAA 0.01 mg/L+6-BA 2.0 mg/L, and the proliferation times was up to 3.39.
