Abstract
The species of insects are numerous, accounting for 90% of the animal kingdom. They are found in every corner except the deep sea and polars. Insects dont have the specific immune system like the higher animals. They need antimicrobial peptides produced by blood lymphocytes to combat toxins. Antimicrobial peptide is a kind of small peptide and is an important part of the humoral immune system. They have numerous sources and divers structure together with small molecular weight, good thermal stability and broad-spectrum antimicrobial characteristics. In this paper, two web portals were used to predict and analyze the classification, average hydrophobic, transmembrane region, signal peptide and subcellular localization of insect antimicrobial peptide by bioinformatics methods.
