Development situation and countermeasures of Guangdong flower industry in 2013

In 2012, Guangdong flower industry scale ranked among the leading, significantly changed in production structure; sales of flowers industry entered a period of adjustment; the production and business operation entity had decreased, but the degree of organization had been improved. The current situation of science and technology development of flower industry in Guangdong were analyzed, science and technology progress contribution rate accounted for the major share of the input. Further some countermeasures and suggestions on the development of flower industry were put forward, vigorously developing of flower industry in the construction of eco homes, strengthening the breeding of new varieties, the research and development of key technologies, accelerating scientific and technological achievements into productive forces, encouraging conditional area development specialization, large-scale production base of flowers, accelerating the traditional advantages of production and distribution of product structure adjustment and optimization and upgrade.
