Pepper response to phosphorus application in Hainan

By field experiment, pepper response to phosphorus application in Hainan was studied.Results showed that phosphorus application under low soil available P level significantly increased yield and income of pepper by 6.3%~11.8% (averaged 9.4%) and 7.4%~16.2% (averaged 13.0%), respectively. The proper P2O5 application rate of capsicum was about 120 kg/hm2 under this experimental condition.
