Review of dike-pond system

Agricultural development must take constraints of resource and environment into account. As a kind of environment-friendly agriculture, dike-pond system has broader prospects. This paper introduced dike-pond system from 3 different aspects, which were the ecosystem, water & land spatial pattern and material perspective on the energy flow. Then figured out the problems in dike-pond system which were caused by the rapid economic development. This paper also considered that the GIS and RS could play greater role in dike-pond system research, then emphasized the role of land use in the research of dike-pond system when accounting the land use evaluation and land use technology evaluation.
