Abstract
This paper established the comprehensive evaluation system in tree species selection for Shanghai coastal protection forest. The system had 4 criterias including growth adaptability, ecological function, landscape effect and economic value, and 19 indexes including growth vigor, root depth, crown width. The index weight was determined by AHP. The evaluation result of 29 tree species showed that Melia azedarach, Firmiana simplex, Koelreuteria paniculata Laxm, Salix伊aureo-pendula, Sapium sebiferumL.Roxb, Pistacia chinensis, Taxodium hybrid, Camptotheca acuminata Dencne, Taxodium mucronatum, Cedrus deodara, Liquidambar formosara, Choerosponias axillaris were the suitable tree species for coastal protection forest in Shanghai area.
