Research progress of rice straws degradation

Rice straw is an important biomass energy, of which the degradation is related with the farmland resource reutilization and environment protection. Large numbers of rice straws are dealed to be burned nowadays, resulting in wasting resources and polluting environment, and low degradation rate of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin in rice straws leads to the low utilization rate. The key to degrade rice straws is to enhance the efficiency of degradation methods such as direct rice straws returning, physical degradation, chemical degradation and biological degradation, and the biological degradation is the most practical and effective method. Residue of gean and protein in transgenic rice has been a hot spot as the transgenic rice comes out.
