Study on tissue culture of Scutellaria barbata D. Don

Scutellaria barbata is a medicinal plant with wide range of application, large amount of use and variety of efficacy, recent studies indicate that it also has good anti-tumor effect. In this research, the effects of different kinds and quality of hormone on the subculture and rooting culture of S. barbata were studied. The results showed that the influences of different cytokinin and auxin ratio on subculture and rooting culture of S. barbata were different, the best subculture medium was MS+6-BA 1.0 mg/L+NAA 0.2 mg/L+IBA 0.2 mg/L, the best rooting medium was 1/2MS+ NAA 1.0 mg/L+IBA 0.2 mg/L.
