Empirical study on the relationship among water conservancy investment, construction of water conservancy facilities and agricultural economic development

This paper studied the relationship among water conservancy investment, construction of water conservancy facilities and agricultural economic development through unit root test, co-integration test, Granger causality test and multivariate regression analysis. It demonstrated that there existed long -term co -integration relations between water conservancy investment and agricultural economic development, and between the construction of water conservancy facilities and agricultural economic development. It was provened that the agricultural economic development was the Granger cause of water conservang investment and the construction of water conservang facinties was the Ganger cause of agricultural economic development. The result of regression analysis based on the agricultural growth mode suggested that increase of the effective irritation area and water and soil erosion area could notably promote agricultural economic development while waterlogging control had no effect on agriculture.
