Empirical evaluation on the inter-provincial cotton export competitiveness

China is a major cotton producing country in the world, but the cotton international competitiveness is declining now. In order to find out the level of the provincial cotton export competitiveness, we selected Tianjin,Liaoning, Shanghai, Shandong and Xinjiang which exported cotton each year, as the research object, and then used the factor analysis with the 6 indicators such as the MS index, the RCA index, the TC index, the EAVi index, the trade dependence and the export contribution rate to measure the cotton export competitiveness, and presented briefly countermeasures and suggestions according to the findings at last.
