Performance evaluation of poverty alleviation and development in ethnic minority border areas

The new national anti-poverty campaign is related to regionally coordinated development in China and f rtherly to a comprehensive well-off society. This paper took the impoverished areas of the three connected districts in South Xinjiang as the research target, set up a performance evaluation index system for poverty alleviation and development specifically for the ethnic minority border areas in Xinjiang. Th藻n comprehensive evaluation method was used to evaluate the performance in these areas. The results showed that the the performance effect increased, but the growth was slowing down. Among the findings, the social development increased the fastest, followed by that of the production and living standard, and the ecological improvement was the least. Suggestions for better achievement were provided.
