Investigation on the soil nutrients and its ulitization of naghan litchi otchards in Shenzhen

Soil nutrients and its utilization of Nanshan litchi orchard in Shenzhen were investigated in order to offer the suitable reference data for fair use of fertilizer during Nanshan litchi planting. The results show that available nitrogen and potassium contents in the soil were low while phosphorus and zinc contents were high. In addition, the soil was deficient in magnesium and boron. The annual usage amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium was high. Phosphorus content was the highest and potassium content was lowest. There was significant difference in fertilization system and amount among the orchards. Excessive fertilization exists in some orchards.
