Acute toxicity test of cadmium to Spinibarbus denticulatus at different temperatures

    • The acute toxicity o f cadmium (Cd2+) to Spinibarbus denticulatus was studied with the static water fish toxicity test method at different water temperatures. The results showed that, at 12 (±1)℃, the LC50 of 12, 24, 48, 96 h for cadmium to S.denticulatus were 14.38 mg/L,7.18 mg/L, 4.11 mg/L and 3.16 mg/L, while at 25(±1)℃, the LC50 of 12, 24, 48, 96 h were 10.68 mg/L, 5.77 mg/L, 3.66 mg/L and 2.16 mg/L. At the 2 kinds of temperature, the safe concentrations were 0.0316 mg/L and 0.0216 mg/L respectively. According to the grading standards, the cadmium was mediumtoxic to S.denticulatus.
