Preliminary study on diseases and pests species of Illicium difengpi in Guangxi

As the growing of economic value and exhaustion of Illicium difengpi wild resources, it is imperative to carry out artificial cultivation of I. difengpi. Large areas cultivation of I. difengpi may lead to occurrence and harmfulness of plant diseases and pests increasing. However, there is few reports on diseases and pests of I. difengpi. Finding out the variety of diseases and pests of wild and artificial planting I. difengpi and their occurrence and harmfulness, could provide a scientific basis for prevention and control of plant diseases and pests. The results of our research showed that there were 4 kinds of diseases and 7 kinds of pests in I. difengpi. The different located environments of seeding after transplanting may affect the incidence of stem rot and anthracnose.
