Influence of nutrition plate and sowing depth on the growth of sweet corn seedling

In order to improve the quality of sweet corn seedling, effects of different nutrition plates and sowing depth on the growth of sweet corn seedling were discussed, by designing 4 kinds of nutrition plates with 54, 70, 100, 128 holes respectively and 5 kinds of sowing depths with 3/3, 2/3, 1/2, 1/3 and 0/3 respectively. The result showed that different nutrition plate and sowing depth both had effect on emergence rate, emergence time, emergence uniformity and seedling index of the sweet corn. The optimal choice was a combination of nutrition plates with 100 holes and 1/3 sowing depth, and the best time for transplantation was 3-3.39 of leaf age.
