Canonical correlation analysis on factors affecting growth of agricultural economy---The case of Ningxia

The factors affecting the growth of agricultural economy in Ningxia were quantitatively analyzed, and principal measures were provided to accelerate development of Ningxia agricultural economy. By using canonical correlation analysis, a canonical correlation model of factors affecting agricultural economy growth in Ningxia was constructed. It turned out that total power of agricultural machinery,quantity of chemical fertilizer, scale of farmland and proportion of population with high school or above education in peasants were the principal factors that affected the growth of Ningxia agricultural economy. It suggested that sustainable, high-rate and healthy development of Ningxia agricultural economy could be realized through continuous investment in agricultural R&A, fast industrialization process of agriculture and higher education for labors
