Abstract
This research used the Spirulina platensis in the alkaline lake of Erdos Plateau (S1) and the Spirulina platensis in the lake of Chad Africa (S2) as experimental material, studied the effects of low temperature and high light treatment on photosynthetic rate of Spirulina platensis, and the effects of different types of light on the rate of recovery of Spirulina platensis by the physiological method. The results showed: The photoinhibition of Spirulina was significant under the stress of low temperature and high light, the photosynthetic rate dropped drastically with lowering of temperature and longer treating time, even becoming negative when stress duration longer than 15min; rate of recovery for the treated samples varied with wavelengths, with the blue light showing the most remarkable, followed by red light, yellow light, and green light, the recovery rate under dim light was between that for blue and red light, recovery at dark was very slow.
