Effects of Cu2+ and Zn2+ stress on physiological characteristics of maize seedlings

    • This thesis studied the fluctuations of some physiological indicators of the growth of maize's young plant in early germination under Cu2+ and Zn2+ stress. In that situation, the results showed that the germination of the growth of maize's young plant had been inhibited, and there was stronger toxic effect with higher Cu2+ and Zn2+ concentration. After being treated by Cu2+ and Zn2+, corn chlorophylls and soluble proteins, Peroxides' (POD), praline decreased, the content of Cu2+, Zn2+ and MDA increased in corn's lamina.Different concentrations of Cu2+ and Zn2+ had different inflections to physiological indicators of maize, and the young plant of maizes were more sensitive to the intimidation of Cu2+.
