Study on synthesis and biological activity of ß-carboline -3- acylhydrazine

The new compounds of ß-carboline-diacylhydrazine were obtained from L-tryptophan via 5-step reactions, including the Pictet-Spengler condensation, esterification，oxidation，N-alkylation and so on. Their structures were characterized by 1H NMR, IR, MS and elemental analysis. The insecticidal activity tests showed that three compounds of end product exhibited good insecticidal activity.
