Analysis on the development of the banana industry in China

From the perspective of the banana science and technology worker, we summarized the relevant literature and analysed the major problems of Chinese banana industry, and pointed out that the industry had the following problems mainly at present, including the fusarium wilt disease devastating threat, orchard poor ability to resist natural disasters, lack of back-up varieties and germplasm innovation ability, poor postharvest handling and cultivation techniques, weak banana comprehensive utilization of resources and product processing industry and so on. The main conclusions and suggestions were as follows：enlarged the investment on field＇s capital construction, strengthened the breeding and germplasm introduction and cultivation techniques, improved the post-harvest handing and the resource products, etc.
