Study on sustainable development of northern Shaanxi resource county--A case study of Jingbian county

This paper calculated the ecological footprint and ecological capacity of Jingbian county in 2011 based on modified ecological footprint model by using different land typesand consumption categories, and analyzed the ecological footprint structure,ecological capacity structure and ecological deficit structure. The results showed that the ecological footprint and the ecological capacity in Jingbian were 5.8372 and 1.6426 hm2 per capita ecological capacity. The ecological deficit was 4.1946 hm2. According to the calculation and analysis, the paper made some suggestions to promote the sustainable development of Jingbian.
