Relationship between physilogical characteristics and resistance to Black Spot

    • In order to lay a theoretical foundation for breeding resistance to black spot disease of rose varieties, stomatal density, chlorophyll content, proline content, SOD, POD and PPO vitality of 8 roses were measured in this research to study the relationship between physiological indicators of rose varieties and the resistance to black spot disease. The results showed that there were some link between the physiological indices and resistance to black spot disease in roses. Rose's resistance to black spot and stomatal density was negatively correlated; SOD, POD and PPO is positively correlated with it. The proline content of all varieties increased significantly in susceptible conditions, .
