Comparative study of genes related to heavy metals absorption in six higher plants

    • The gene families related to heavy metal absorption in Oryza sativa, Zea mays, Sorghum bicolor, Brassica rapa,Arabidopsis thaliana and Isatis indigotica were studied. About 60 genes in 5 main gene families were found. In this report, we analyzed the constructions of these genes and comparative studied the distribution of these genes in the different plants. The purpose was to know the functions and characteristics of these genes more deeply and offer materials for the researches about bioremediation and food security related to heavy metal pollution.
