Development situation and countermeasures of Guangdong flower industry in the first half of 2014

In the first half of 2014, the product quality of flower industry in Guangdong was overall stable, the flower industry showed several breakthroughs in e-commerce, and there was a steady rise in export volume of the industry. However, the development of flower industry in Guangdong was facing with some serious problems, such as low international competitiveness, insufficient development of new breeds and low level of industry organization. Combined with the current depression of flower market, we suggest that the flower industry in Guangdong should focus more on the cultivation of "flower culture", develop demonstration zone of flower industry, change the sales direction of flower product and improve the ability of employees in the industry, in order to speed up the transformation and upgrading of the flower industry in Guangdong.
