Leaf cutting propagation of four Primulina species

To provide technical guidance for commercial production, the best leaf cutting propagation of four Primulina species (Primulina hochiensis, P. linearifolia, P. yungfuensis and P. pungentisepala) were investigated with a multi-factor randomized block design including three cutting modes and three substrate ratios. The results showed that the optimum medium ratio was perlite:peat=1:1 (V/V) with maximum seedlings (19.67~29.67) and quick development of adventitious roots (28.33~41 d) and adventitious buds (63.67~79.67 d).Entire leaf cutting was more suitable for P. hochiensis, and half leaf cutting was more suitable for P. linearifolia, P.pungentisepala and P.yungfuensis.
