Leaf cutting propagation of four Primulina species

    • To provide technical guidance for commercial production, the best leaf cutting propagation of four Primulina species (Primulina hochiensis, P. linearifolia, P. yungfuensis and P. pungentisepala) were investigated with a multi-factor randomized block design including three cutting modes and three substrate ratios. The results showed that the optimum medium ratio was perlite:peat=1:1 (V/V) with maximum seedlings (19.67~29.67) and quick development of adventitious roots (28.33~41 d) and adventitious buds (63.67~79.67 d).Entire leaf cutting was more suitable for P. hochiensis, and half leaf cutting was more suitable for P. linearifolia, P.pungentisepala and P.yungfuensis.
