Status and analysis of coconut waste’s comprehensive utilization

First, an overview of the coconut planting and the comprehensive utilization of the waste from planting and process in China was given. The waste from planting included the old tree stem, root, withered leaves, coconut flower and drop-cracking, and could use to make biogas, generate electricity, vintage, medicinal material and building materials; the waste from the process included coconut water, coir, shell and coconut cake, and could use to make beverage, medical product, active carbon, culture medium and feed. At last, the paper analyzed the problems of coconut waste utilization including weak awareness, low -level development, insufficient research investment and etc, put forward some matching countermeasures.
