耘ffect of N application rate on yield and quality of jinqiu pear

The effect of N application rate on yield and quality of jinqiu pear was studied. The result showed that the effect of N application rate on yield was very significant, and the yield of pear increased with N application rate increasing. The correlation between N application rate and quality of pear was affirmatively existed. Hardness reduced, total sugar and Vitamin C concentration improved with N application rate increasing. However, the effect of N application rate on total acids was very marginal. The net income increased with N application rate increasing by analyzing economic benefit. We advocated optimum N application rate as optimal N fertilizer in the southeast of Guizhou province after considering synthetically the economic benefit and the potential risk of exceeding N application.
