Research on the evaluation of production efficiency in China maize zone after entering WTO——Based on the panel data from 15 provinces

Based on the agricultural product cost and income panel data from 2001 to 2010 in 15 provinces producing corns, this thesis analyzed the growth of corn production efficiency in China maize zone in time difference and zone difference using Malmquist Index Method. The conclusions were as follows: the growth rate of TFP in our country’s maize zone from 2001 to 2010 was -1.3% and it grew in the serrated way. What’s more, the improvement of technology was the key issue in promoting the growth of TFP. At last, the TFP in north-east and north-west was higher than that in north of China and south-west.
