Analysis on the index of intra-industry trade of agricultural products between China and ASEAN

Climate and agricultural production conditions are different between China and ASEAN. With zero tariff plan starting in 2004 and the completion of China-ASEAN free trade area in 2010, the trade of agricultural products between China and ASEAN has been increasing rapidly. Through calculating and empirically analyzing the inter-industry trade indexes of agricultural products between China and ASEAN, The research shows that inter-industry trade and intra-industry trade coexist, but inter-industry trade is more obvious. So the cooperation should be enhanced continually in order to acquire more trade benefits.
