Research progress on damage and control of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus

Rhynchophorus ferrugineus Oliver is a serious pest of Palm. The damage characteristics, control technique and control strategies of R.ferrugineus were summarized, then to expound its research advance on main control measures. There is some reference value to future research on it, and has significance to establish project of IPM-controlling of this pest, and in order to offer comprehensive instructions for the effective prevention and control of R.ferrugineus in palm plants.
