Analysis of fatty acids in the seed oil of Rosa laevigata Michx with different solvent extraction methods by GC-MS

Fatty acids in the seed oil of Rosa laevigata Michx were extracted by Soxhlet extraction with different solvent system.After being methyl esterification catalysed with KOH, the fatty compositions were detected by GC/MS. There were 8 fatty acid were identified.The main compositions were some saturated fatty acids,such as linoleic acid and other fatty acids. The optimal solvent systems were found to be V(Petroleum Ether)：V(Ethylacetate)=6：1.
