Abstract
In order to research the affinity of Brassica rapa and B. napus in Tibet environment, the seed setting rate and affinity of B. rapa, B. napus and reciprocal cross combinations, the morphology, pollen vigor and self of hybrid F1 generation were studied. The results showed that the seed setting rate and affinity index of the crosses between B. rapa and B. napus were higher when B. napus cultivars was used as the female parent. The F1 hybrid of B. napus and B. rapa were self-compatible and their plant morphology was biased towards the female parent, The order of selfing affinity of the parents and the hybrids was as follows: B.napus > F1 (B. napus×B. rapa) > F1 (B. rapa×B. napus) > B. rapa, with the corresponding self-incompatibility index 20.37, 6.30, 1.59, and 0.51. The order of their pollen viability was as follows: B. napus> B. rapa> F1 (B. napus×B. rapa) > F1 (B. rapa×B. napus ).
