Abstract
In order to analyze the expression of inflammatory cytokines in serum of BALB/c mice infected with Staphylococcus hyicus at different time point, the serum of the BALB/c mice infected with staphylococcus hyicus were collected at both 24h and 48h post infection, and the levels of 32 cytokines were detected by cytokine antibody chip technology. The results showed that there was a significant change in the level of cytokine from serum in mice infected with Staphylococcus hyicus. Compared with the control group, there were 5 cytokines significantly changed 24h post infection. Among them, 4 cytokines (G-CSF, IL-6, KC, MCP-5) were expressed 2 times greater than controls. After infected 48h, 4 cytokines significantly changed, and 3 of them, including G-CSF, KC, MCP-5, were expressed 2 times greater than the control levels. The expression level of IL-12 were significantly lower than the control levels at both 24h and 48h after infection. The inflammatory cytokines play an important role in the process of S. hyicus infection. It is feasible to screen staphylococcus hyicus related protein biomarkers from serum by applying cytokine antibody array.
