Research progress on the relationship between Candidatus Liberibacter spp. and citrus root system

Citrus Huanglongbing（ HLB），caused by Candidatus Liberibacter spp.，is a fatal disease on citrus. HLB has become a factor that limited the sustainable development of citrus industry. Most previous studies on HLB have focus on citrus leaves. However，HLB is a systemic disease，the infected citrus trees show representative symptoms on leaves，fruits and root. Now，more and more studies on HLB from multiple angles，such as root nutrition，the expression of gene and protein，rhizosphere microorganism. In this paper，we summarized the latest research on the relationship between C. Liberibacter spp. and citrus root system，which could provide references for the research on the interaction between C. Liberibacter spp. and citrus root system.
